So this month, August, marks my two years in ballet. I have been starting ballet since 2019, with joining BalletFit class and later on the ballet class. To celebrate this, I’m going to share my favorite items from Grishko! Anyhow, as time goes by… I started to learn more details on things I wear in ballet class, and also other items I would never know if I never go take ballet class, such as these drying inserts and the ballet jumpsuits.
Well, Grishko is a Russian brand, one of my favourites. I remember when I first shopped my ballet stuff, I saw the shiny DreamPointe shoes and I was like.. soooo pretty! I want a pair of those. But I was a beginner, so the shop assistant told me, “Ahh… you’re still a beginner you got to wait for some time to put on these.” Well, it’s true. It takes super-tough feet to get into those painful shoes.
But I said, well… yeah, I will. but I want them now! For me, having them is like to keep reminding me how far I should go with all the training I’d go for.
So they fitted me and I got a pair!

Leotards! The most comfy of all!
First of all, I must tell you that Grishko leotards are the best! Even though they’re famous for their long-lasting pointe shoes, their leotards (and other stuff are also great).
The microfiber one is so thin and comfy, stretchy, and elastic following through your movements. It also feels great to my skin. But sadly, to my disappointment, it has no lining… at all! Coz I always wear my breast pad under my leotard every time I went to class, I just can’t live without them, and it’s kinda difficult to make those pads stay in place without a lining of course. But this leotard is made of stretchy polyamide and it feels to me absolute freedom! In fact, I bought more of these (in a different color, of course).
I have a similar leotard, only it’s a different design. Bought it from one of the offline shops in Jakarta. I don’t know what’s the name, but this is beautiful. It’s been a year with this leotard and it’s still super pretty and comfy, my go-to leotard coz it has lining =)
And this one, actually to my disappointment, has no lining. Coz I always wear my breast pad under my leotard every time I went to class, just can’t live without them, and it’s kinda difficult to make those pads stay in place without a lining of course. But this leotard is made of stretchy polyamide and it feels soooo great on my skin, super elastic, it’s thin, does not heavy and bulky to your body, absolute freedom! In fact, I bought more of these!
What makes it cuter? I love the tag. Super pretty illustration of feet in pointe shoes, simple but I’m obsessed!
Bag
This bag is simple. It has a Giselle illustration and it is shimmery. I use it not only for going to my ballet class but to my pilates class and even to work. The feel on my shoulder, the spacious inside, and the compartment are great as a daily bag. This color is Vintage Gold. I remember I saw the picture, coz i bought it online from a local retailer, it looked like sort of super soft pink and a bit of glitter and turned out it really is gold. But I never like Gold, until I saw this one. Anything from Grishko is just exceptional for me I think.
---and this Giselle design also goes to cosmetic bag!
I bought it months after I bought this bag. So I learn my lessons and check that this MUST BE a soft pink. There you go, the color name is Sea Shell Pink for the soft pink. But it has a softer texture than the bag and a more matte finishing.
Jumpsuit
Well, I’ve been in quarantines so far for 1 year and a half, so I’ve never gone to the studio. But this jumpsuit really helps whenever I needed to go out during class to meet the delivery guy who delivers my online shop package. I can’t go out in leotard obviously.
The material is super light, yet it helps my body to keep warm. Well, I did go to a pilates studio a few months ago when the covid situation was a bit better, and I just put it on and went to the gym. Practical.
I know other brand makes similar item with ripstop material. I saw one classmate wore those once, and the material was so noisy. So that's why I prefer this one =)
Pointe Shoes

The drying insert…which is silica gel. But Grishko made it nicer and right amount f
or each shoes. Their elastic and ribbons are, of course, also great. No need to question them.

Skirt
Well, this might look simple, but this is nice. Mine is stretchy and flexible on my waist to wrap and roll around my body. Super light material. Soft and the lining goes with perfect material, it ties nice and tightly. I didn't keep what code the skirt was, I bought it on local shop here in my city. Some were made in satin and it’s so slippery for the ribbon to be tightly tied.
Only the mesh material is kinda easy to crumple if I don't fold it nicely.
To be honest, I was quite confused on how the wrap skirt works at first. I didn’t know what it is for and all. But I saw many wear them outside their leotards, maybe to look less revealing or to make their look cuter. Well, I guess both work well.
Lastly, this Japan Jumper.
I bought two! First one I bought the grey one, which you can see on this youtube video of mine and I even bought a new one as I really loved it… the pink one, but it isn’t really pink, but I still love it. The knit is just amazing, it’s soft, it doesn’t bother your skin. The look on my body is just cute, so I'm kinda addicted to it.
I know this is very light and basic review, just cover the basic experience, but i hope it can give your more perspective and closer look to the products.
